Penn Law Lambda had a great showing this past weekend at the Williams Institute Moot Court Competition. Both Lambda teams made it to the quarterfinals and Jessa DeGroote L’15 won Best Oralist.
The Williams Institute Moot Court Competition is the only national competition dedicated exclusively to the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity law.
The two teams included DeGroote, Peter Jackson L’16, and Caleb Wimble L’16; Phil Shecter L’14, Doug Helman L’16, and Liz Weissert L’16. The team members would like to thank the fifteen 2Ls and 3Ls who volunteered to moot them in preparation for the competition. They would also like to thank Dean Clinton for encouraging them to brave the weather and flight cancellations.
DeGroote and Jackson will return to Los Angeles on April 11 to represent Penn Law in an epic battle with Georgetown.
